Biosensic towers: A curious approach to modernization of technology in medicine

During this period of the COVID-19 pandemic, we all know that illnesses, diseases, and infections, can be fatal and may affect our lives tremendously. It is certain that after it ends another will start, this cycle will forever keep going on till the diminishment of human beings and other species of creatures, that have an impact on the ecosystem. We can do nothing to stop the development of living life, but we can sure take some measures to stop its widespread and infecting a huge number of people.

 

By this we can take immediate actions, to prevent the spreading of the disease, and if it is unidentified the research teams will analyze, find its origin, and fatality, and then find its cure or treatment, and sometimes with the need to quarantine the infected person.

  

The idea is of  installing towers with biosensors in cities, towns, as well as other urban and rural areas. These towers will help us detect any viruses or bacteria that are dangerous for humans and other living organisms, in the surroundings and help us take required actions to stop its widespread.


These sensors will detect microbes by their communication process, also called quorum sensing in bacteria, in which they release small amounts of proteins to communicate in the body, when they enter the host, the sensors will detect these proteins, and through them, they will find out the microbe, and they send this information to the control room, which will have a team of doctors and specialized researchers, if the disease is quite dangerous or is communicated fast through the population, they will find the details of the person and either call him or message him to either be quarantined at their houses or stay at the spot and then the team will come for an immediate check-up and take further required steps.


This will not only help us stop the widespread of many diseases but if there are any new microorganisms in the environment, we can do research on it and get information on it before it is exposed to their surroundings, and know its fatality rate and its effect on the being of life on the earth, we will also be able to sense microorganisms that are in animals which can be harmful to humans, as many diseases are spread from the primates to us humans like tuberculosis, hepatitis and even AIDS, which caused a big surge of depression among the masses, if their causing microbes were already researched upon, it would have been way easier for us to cope up with them. Not then but now we can take the help of these towers for a healthier future.


As said by Aldo Leopold, “To keep every cog and wheel is the first precaution of intelligent tinkering”, now these things may not make a greater impact on the present lives but for the future, it is sure necessary.
